Trust in the care of NIVEA

A heading that just makes sense… Trust in the care of NIVEA

For so many years now, I have trusted in the care of NIVEA for me and my family. The products have been around for as long as I can remember. My mother used NIVEA and now I use it for myself and my children. But there is a bigger meaning to the words “Trust in the care of NIVEA”.

Did you know that NIVEA has supported a community situated in Umtwalume, KwaZulu-Natal, through financial support of Thanda, a non-profit organisation, every time you buy a NIVEA skincare product it enables the brand to give back to this community.

Thanda provides valuable support for the local community through an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre and after-school programs. Research shows that 90% of brain development happens before the age of five, which is why ECD programs are vital, yet less than 16% of children in KwaZulu-Natal have access to these.  At the Thanda Community Centre, children not only receive a hot meal and participate in educational and stimulating programs, but also find a safe place to play. The centre hosts the only library and playground in the area, an Agricultural Development program, with its number one drawcard – the skate park!

How awesome is it that you can buy your iconic NIVEA products and know that a little bit goes towards a good cause. Helps stimulate little minds and keep little tummies fed! The Community Centre is now able to stay open 7 days a week where as previously it was only available 5 days. The Thanda Centre was able to serve 73 347 meals to children in 2016 with the help of NIVEA. These little ones have a safe and educational place to spend their time.

I simply love Nivea, there are my favourite brand because it keeps my skin moistured all day. Their support of the Thanda centre is simply amazing. Young children are able to live their lives and see a good future.

In a world like ours every little bit of help to those who really need it is appreciated especially when it comes to children. They the most at risk at the moment followed by woman so when there is an organization that aims to change that then they deserve the higest credit

I believe that any donation is rad, and it is great to highlight the brands and products that do a whole lot of good year-round. So the next time I treat myself or a loved one to a beauty buy, I will consider these products that go beyond the bottom line to make this world a better place for us all.

Love Nivea but more for what they do for the community. I’m a firm believer what you give you shall reap….their standards live by that!
