Barbie – new releases for the Barbie fan

Barbie is such a legend, I grew up with a Barbie and I loved her. I had gymnastics Barbie and she could bend in all kinds of ways and I still remember her so well.

Fast forward some what 23 years later and I have two daughters who are now also playing with Barbie. Favorites in our house are Super Barbie and Ballerina Barbie. Zoe is so Super Barbie crazy that she also has the Tshirt and merchandise that goes with it lol.

Barbie has just launched the Dreamtopia Flying Wings fairy doll that we are dying to get, shes so beautiful and inspires imagination and play with her wings that actually fly.

This Winter there is a wonderful range of Barbie inspired items that you can buy for your Barbie loving children, Here is a little list of some really cool Barbie products…

Barbie Bubble Bath

is a sure way to start your bedtime routine and have your little girls feeling sparkly clean and cozy for bed. When the girls are done bathing then make sure to pamper their skin with Barbie body lotion, it is winter after all and skin needs extra moisture. Now lets not forget about brushing their beautiful hair with a Barbie brush. Starting price just R60, from Ackermans

Because Winter is on its way, dress your little girls up warm in a long-sleeved Barbie pyjama set (R179.95 from Edgars), then make them super snug by wrapping them up in  a fleece gown (R199.99, also from Edgars) and a pair of cosy slippers (just R90 from PNP Clothing).

Tuck them into their Barbie bed linen, which reminds them to always Dream Big, available in single and three-quarter from Mr Price Home, then snuggle in close and help them read one of their favourite Barbie bedtime stories, just R35 each from CNA, PNA, Bargain Books, Hamleys and Readers Warehouse.

The Barbie Coral Fleece Blanket looks so cozy that I would actually not mind having one myself, measuring 145cm x 115cm, it’s perfect for the car, the tv room, or even a sleepover.. R199.99 for the blanket from Mr Price Home.

Before they doze off to dreamland, don’t forget to brush their teeth, with a Barbie toothbrush and tasty toothpaste, both available from a range of stores including Dischem, Clicks, Pick n Pay, Spar, Checkers, Shoprite and Makro. Having a toothbrush with Barbie on sure helps encourage the little ones to take good care of their teeth.
